How Direct Primary Care Works
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is for patients with commercial insurance or no insurance. Instead of billing your insurance company for primary care, you pay one flat, predictable monthly fee and get easier access to your provider.
1. Choose your membership
Monthly pricing is based on age and starts at $70/month. See membership pricing. Enroll before January 1, 2027 and the $300 registration fee is waived.
2. See us when you need us
Same-day or next-day appointments when available, extended visit times and up to two office visits a month ($50 for each additional visit).
3. No copays, no insurance billing
Included primary care services are covered by your membership, with no copays and no surprise bills from us.
4. Keep insurance for everything else
DPC is not health insurance. Labs, imaging, specialists, hospital care, medications and vaccinations may cost extra, and your insurance can still be used for them.

Rising administrative demands and low reimbursement from commercial insurance companies have taken more and more time away from patient care. Direct Primary Care lets our physicians spend that time with you, coordinate closely with the hospital when needed and keep our independent practice strong. Direct Primary Care for a Healthier You
At Jupiter Internal Medicine Associates, we are evolving our practice to provide more personalized, relationship-based care through Direct Primary Care (DPC). As of October 16, 2026, we no longer bill commercial insurance for primary care. Patients with commercial insurance or no insurance can join our affordable Direct Primary Care membership, and Medicare patients continue to be seen and billed to Medicare as usual. This change allows our physicians to spend more time with patients, improve access, and focus on preventive, comprehensive healthcare.
