Q: I have been exposed to COVID-19 family should I be tested?

Patients of the practice will be seen via a tele-health visit.  At the time of the telemedicine visit, the medical provider will decide if its best for you to  come to the office or best to go to a drive up testing facility such as Ballpark of the Palm Beaches or CVS.  

Q: Can I come to the office if I am experiencing symptoms of COVID-19?

Do not come to the office if you think you have COVID. It is best to stay home and call our office.  

Does Jupiter Internal Medicine Associates test for COVID-19 at the office?

Under certain circumstances, we are able to test our patients after a telemedicine visit.  Patients also have the option to elect for testing done in the comforts of your own home.  Due to COVID-19, we cannot accept walk ins.


What is the turnaround time if I get tested at your office for COVID-19?

Turnaround time for COVID-19 testing is 15 minute for rapid testing.  We do not advise you to stop by the office without an appointment or calling first the office.   

If I am a patient of Jupiter Internal Medicine Associates and my family would like to be tested for COVID-19 as well, can you test my entire family?

Anyone tested for COVID-19 has to be a patient at Jupiter Internal Medicine Associates. We accept patients ages 18 and older.

Q: Can I travel?

Please follow the CDC guidelines. 

Q: Why do I have to have a visit or tele-health visit with our office before you test me?

The State of Florida regulations requires us to fax over the result positive or negative along with an office visit note.

Q: If I don’t have insurance can I be tested?

Q: What precautionary measures does your medical office take to contain the spread of COVID-19?

Our staff wear masks plexus glass shields.  After each medical appointment the exam rooms are disinfected and sterilized.  No walk ins are permitted. Patient only allowed to enter our office. For patients with disabilities, we allow one person per patient to accompany during the visit. 

Q: I have Covid-19 Symptoms and would like to get tested. What are my options?

We’re testing all symptomatic patients, as well as patients without symptoms or who require testing for other reasons.

What are the symptoms?

Not everyone with COVID-19 develops symptoms. Amongst those with COVID-19,  a wide range of symptoms have been reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness.

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with any of the following symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Q: Will you take my temperature when arriving at your office?

As part of our commitment to protect our patients and staff, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented the following in our facilities:

Masks 

Anyone entering our facilities over the age of 2 must wear a mask. If you arrive without a mask, we’ll provide one.

COVID Related Screening 

Anyone entering our facilities will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, including temperature checks.
